I'm a blacksmith. I went in with a chunk of steel in the back of my left hand. I couldn't get it out. Karen Sanchez and Kevin Romero teamed up and had the shrapnel out in less than an hour. It was quite a large piece of steel, and we all had a very pleasant time laughing and chatting while the doctors 'went fishing'. I'll go to Urgent Care again in the snap of a finger. They were professional, personable, and comforting.

I am a furniture maker in Taos and have had lots of splinters in my life. (My body is about 5% wood) This time I got a deep and large sharp chunk of wood in my hand and needed help getting it out. It was too deep for woodworker surgery so I went to Urgent Care based upon a recommendation from an employee of mine who had good experiences with them. I was impressed by the short wait time, the friendliness of the staff, and the care I received. The emergency room at a hospital would have cost much more and the wait would have been much longer. I left with a feeling that there are sensible alternatives to out-of-control medical costs for a typical injury. Thank You Taos Urgent Care.
